Feb Blog 1 – Why blog for a month?

Evening all! Just wanted to share with you my newest scheme – I am planning on writing a blog a day for the month of February. I realise that it would be catchier to do it in May (a blog a day in May, it rhymes don’t you know) but I was feeling inspired so didn’t want to wait another three months. So maybe I need to come up with a snazzy title – Febloggy? Bloguary? Febblogginton? Nothing exactly rolls off the tongue…. if you have an idea, please let me know!

I published Book 2 – The Road to Nerdvana – back in August 2016 and since then I haven’t written very much at all. There’s been a few blog posts here and there. A few hundred words of notes when I have an idea and don’t want to forget it but nothing concrete.

With my recent announcement of all the AWESOMENESS that 2017 will hopefully bring, I thought it made sense to try and exercise the little grey cells. Book 3 isn’t going to write itself you know! Also, I’m a firm believer in ‘practice makes perfect’ and while I never would think that I could be a perfect writer (I don’t think such a thing exists), I would certainly like to become a better one. It will be a bit of a lesson in discipline as well, will I be able to stick to the schedule of posting every day? We’ll just need to hope for the best!

Also in terms of mental health, its good for me to have something to focus on that doesn’t involve stressing about work or the multitude of other things that go on in the background of everyday life. Something that’s just mine and that can help me attempt to get the million thoughts that whizz through my brain on a daily basis in some kind of order.

So, what will I be blogging about? I can guarantee there will be (a) geekery (b) travel and (c) a mixture of the two. Might as well stick to what you know, right?

I hope you might join me at some point this month, you can read every blog or dip in and out when you can. Either way, I appreciate every person who reads, likes or shares anything that I do. So thank you in advance and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!
